FAQ

Got questions? We've got answers.

Everything you need to know about ordering, printing, shipping, and what makes odd. tick.

Orders & Products

Yes, absolutely. Every single odd. piece is printed after you place your order. We don't keep a warehouse of pre-made stock. This means your piece is fresh, made exactly to spec, and we never have waste from unsold inventory. It also means we can offer a full spectrum of colours without the limitations of mass production.
Yes! We offer a wide range of colours including Purple, Blue, Green, Amber, Pink, Yellow, Peach, and Red. On each product page, you can select your preferred colour before adding to cart. If you'd like a colour that isn't listed, reach out to us via the contact page and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
We're open to custom orders! If you'd like a specific size, a personalisation (like your name embossed), or an entirely bespoke piece, get in touch with us through the contact page. We'll discuss feasibility, timeline, and pricing with you directly. Custom orders typically take a little longer than our standard pieces.
All product photos on our site are of actual printed pieces — not renders or manufacturer stock photos. 3D printed objects have a characteristic layer texture on the surface, which is part of their charm. The matte finish means the colours look soft and pastel. Screens can vary in colour calibration, so there may be slight differences in shade.

Shipping & Delivery

Since every piece is made fresh for you, the total timeline is: 1–3 days for printing + 1 day for quality check & packaging + 3–5 business days for courier delivery. So you can expect your order to arrive within 5–9 business days of placing it. You'll receive a tracking link once it ships.
Yes! We ship to all pin codes across India. Delivery times may vary slightly for remote or northeastern locations. We currently don't ship internationally, but stay tuned — we're working on it.
We offer free shipping on orders above ₹999. For orders below that threshold, a flat shipping fee applies at checkout. Exact shipping costs are shown before you confirm your order.
Absolutely. Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive an email and/or SMS with a tracking link. You can also log into your account on our website and track your order from your order history.

Returns & Quality

We take quality seriously and carefully inspect every piece before shipping. However, if something arrives damaged during transit, please photograph the damage and contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@thatoddpiece.com. We'll arrange a replacement or refund — no questions asked.
Because every piece is made-to-order specifically for you, we're unable to accept returns for change of mind. However, if there's a defect, a printing error, or you received the wrong item, we'll always make it right. Please reach out within 7 days of receiving your order.
Yes. Our internal standard is simple: if we wouldn't keep it on our own desk, we don't ship it. Every product goes through a hands-on quality check before packaging. If it doesn't pass, it gets reprinted. This does mean your order might occasionally take a little longer than expected — but it's always worth it.

Materials & Sustainability

We primarily use PLA (Polylactic Acid) — a plant-based, biodegradable plastic that comes in our full colour range. For pieces that need extra durability or heat resistance (like our desk lamp), we use PETG. Both materials are non-toxic and safe for home use.
We've built sustainability into our model from the start. Made-to-order means zero overproduction waste. PLA is biodegradable under industrial composting conditions. Our packaging uses recycled kraft paper and compostable mailers. We're not perfect, but we're genuinely working to minimise our footprint at every step.
Our vases have a water-resistant interior layer coating and can hold water for dried or artificial flowers. However, we don't recommend using our PLA products for food storage or direct food contact. PETG pieces (like the desk lamp base) are food-safe, but they're not designed for food use either. Always keep products away from sustained high heat — PLA can deform above 60°C.
